About Us
Father and Daughter team, Alan Keever and Marie Ledbetter, have been participating in the Susan G. Komen annual Oklahoma City Race for the Cure since 2005. Marie came up with the team name "Code Pink - Programmers for the Cure" from the common interest between them. Alan is a computer programmer and Marie is a computer science major with an Associates degree in web design. In 2007, Marie decided to try selling their team t-shirt to help raise donations for the race. The response from their friends and family lead them to decide to design more items. In order to make ordering easier, Marie created Cyber-Ribbons.
Cyber-Ribbons was created to be a year-round method of raising donations for the foundation. Marie creates the items for the site, and handles the orders. The donations are transferred to the Susan G. Komen foundation every year shortly before the annual race. All products are sold with 100% of the profits going to the foundation. Marie also creates new designs on request, and the customer receives the item at the normal charge. While Alan and Marie participate strictly with the Race for the Cure, she will design for any cancer related or charity related event. There is no additional fee for custom creations, just a request to allow Marie to post your design on the site to further the opportunity to raise donations. Teams are welcome to contact her for help finding group discounts on t-shirts for any cancer related event.
